A dense red brick colour. The aroma layered and complex. Vanilla and cocoa, followed by Christmas cake aromas of dark cherry, ripe plums and prunes. There is an earthy, mineral core and hints of soft leather and boot polish. The palate fills the mouth with smooth luscious fruit, very soft and velvety tannins and a satisfying warmth to finish.This wine pairs well with beef and venison.
