Seppelt is an inextricable part of Australian winemaking history. The pioneering establishment of sparkling production in Australia and the institution of the uniquely Australian Sparkling Shiraz style in the 1890's is a part of its rich legacy. Seppelt craft superb wines which express the unique personalities of their vineyards across premium cool-climate Grampians country, the wild Henty hinterland, and the famous Cambrian soils of Heathcote
Seppelt Drumborg Pinot Noir is crafted using traditional winemaking techniques including a small amount of whole bunch ferment, whole berry ferment and maturation in French oak barriques
Colour:
Medium ruby with bright clarity, reflecting its cool climate origins
Aroma:
Wild scented red fruit such as black cherry, pomegranate, and bramble layered with spice, a thread of dried herbs, and subtle minerality
Palate:
Medium bodied, elegant and composed. Juicy strawberry, red cherry and pomegranate flavors mingle with firm, fine grained tannins. Cool climate acidity brings freshness, while subtle oak and a chalky mineral line add texture and structure, leading to a long, persistent finish
Cellaring:
Drink now through 2031 for optimal freshness and complexity
