Surprisingly Cabernet Sauvignon from the Western Ridge of the Barossa Valley make more medium weighted styles. Blending Malbec with this type of Cabernet Sauvignon provides the structure and body to the wine. Cabernet provides a lovely spice, cedar and dried herb undertone to the wine, while the Malbec adds blue fruits and chiselled tannins.

Pair with a rib eye steak.
