Barbera can be quite heavy in the warmer climes of Australia however the cooler growing area of the South East of South Australia allows good varietal flavour development of this variety without heavy drying tannins. This vintage release has lovely red and blue fruit flavours and just light notes of thyme and basil.

This wine pairs well with a lighter pasta with maybe a little chili involved.
