Fruit is sourced from the southern end of McLaren Vale, then matured in old oak to let the deep yet bright fruit flavours shine, making it a great barbeque all-rounder. Inky red purple. Youthful blackcurrant, pepper, anise and cedar. Intense dark berry fruit in a full-bodied style with savoury tannin depth, lovely complexity, and a persistent finish. An excellent example of the variety.

You'll find Malbec a great match for steak, pork, and lamb, as well as fattier fish like salmon and poultry with dark meat. Game meat—like bison, ostrich, and venison—are also a safe bet. In addition to meat pairings, consider foods with richer sauces or more vibrant flavours.
