Sampling 3 of our gorgeous White Wines Sourced from the Adelaide Hills
2 x 2018 La Bise Adelaide Hills Chardonnay
Sam Kim, Wine Orbit - 93 Points
Campbell Mattison, Wine Front - 92 Points
La Bise Chardonnay comes from two select vineyards within the higher areas on the Adelaide Hills in
the subregions of Oakbank and Piccadilly. We want the fruit flavours to shine through so the wine is
not oak dominated, rather fruit first with some oak flavours.
Nectarine, peach and blood orange fruit flavours backed up with almond, oatmeal and hazelnut
derived from the French oak barriques. A minerality is evident throughout the palate whilst still
maintaining an opulent creaminess from the lees stirring. The mid palate generosity is pulled into line
with a fresh lime acid finish.
2 x 2019 La Bise Field Blend
Sam Kim, Wine Orbit - 93 Points
A Blend of Pinot Gris, Arneis and Fiano. Three Varieties harvested together and blended at pressings
to give a perfumed, fuller flavoured wine.
Brosche pear and Nectarine fruits form the character of this Pinot Gris. An easy drinking wine perfect
for summer.
The key point of Pinot Gris is mid palate texture and richness. We work this in the winery by allowing
the juice to stay on full solids for a week before we start ferment and in doing so we draw out all of the
goodness and flavour from the juice and grapes that we can.”
2 x 2020 La Bise Pinot Gris
Campbell Mattinson, Wine Front – 89 Points
“Pinot Gris from the Kersbrook and Gumeracha vineyards of Caj Amadio.
My favourite block of Pinot Gris in the Hills, east facing and a gentle slope keeps the high cropping
Pinot Gris under control.
Brosche pear and Nectarine fruits form the character of this Pinot Gris. An easy drinking wine perfect
for summer.”
