Ian and Lynn Rathjen, Colbinabbin
After a hot dry early summer, Heathcote experienced quite mild weather in February and early spring. Mid March picking in cooler weather is one of the features of the variety.
Expressive nose showing spiced pears, juicy acidity, saltiness and mineral. Persistent, textural and wickedly drinkable.
Hand picked, whole bunch pressed, fermented in French oak barrels and clay Amphora. Left on yeast lees for 4 months for creaminess and saltiness.
Region: Heathcote, VIC
Case: 6 Bottles
